Jim joined NGN after a 34-year record of success in general management, sales & marketing, innovation, and organization development in food companies such as Cadbury, Kraft/Mondelez and Kellogg’s. He has developed deep innovation experience both as a practitioner and leader. His leadership roles include President, Cadbury Adams Japan, EVP – Global Director of Cadbury’s $5B gum /candy business and most recently led Kellogg’s Global Snacks category team. A global expert in the confectionary and snacking, he has a proven track record in business turnarounds, building brands and launching new businesses.

  • As President of Cadbury/Adams Japan Confection, turn around of $250M confection business reversing declining sales to +8% CAGR and turning - $30M loss to profit on path to 16% EBITDA.

  • Accelerated Cadbury Adams Americas $2B confection business from flat sales to nearly +10% CAGR as Commercial Director driven by 20% innovation rate.

  • Led Cadbury’s $5B global gum and candy category growing +9% CAGR, improving EBITDA and gaining + 6pts of global market share vs Wrigley. Launched new brands / innovation platforms which generated revenue between $150m and $400M each.

  • Entered new markets for Kraft/MDLZ, with gum launch in China achieving $100M sales in 1 year.

  • Grew large iconic brands like Trident ($2B), Pringles ($2B) and Halls ($1B) at +5% to +10% CAGR.

  • Involved in multiple corporate M&A deals including Kellogg’s Rx Bar and Cadbury’s Intergum.
